Road Trip

This summer I sold my Polaroid 600SE for a Mamiya 645.  I don't have a lot of experience with medium format film so I had to try a couple of times to find the right fit for me.  Well, turns out this ol Mamiya was exactly what I was looking for (psst, I love it because it has autofocus, but don't tell anyone that).  I love shooting with it, and I finally got my first rolls of film developed, and I was happy with the results (most of them, some of the colors are way off and I need to figure out why).  

So here are some photos of our great treck from The Pacific Northwest all the way out to the Midwest.  A lot of these were shot on the side of the road or in small towns we needed stop at.  A couple at Jackson Hole, and a couple at Antelope Island.

Fall Party

We took a two day trip with my sister and her family to Brown County, the cutest little place you ever did see.  With seas of yellow and orange leaves and a little town that comes right out of a picture book, Brown County is the perfect place for a Fall Party.

Daphne reads

Daphne is one of my favorite people, and she's great to photograph (aren't most children?).  While in Denver visiting our very good friends Nic & Kirsten we set up this shoot for their little girl.  We found children's books from the DI and ripped out the pages (which didn't feel quite right), then put them up on the wall.  We spray painted some books, Kirsten found some cute vintage glasses, and viola: Daphne reads.

Seth shot a video of the shoot, and it's just about the cutest thing I've seen.
