Salt Lake City - for my Aunt Glo

For a christmas present to my Aunt Glo (who raised me) I went around Salt Lake with my Hasselblad and took photos of all the places she lived.  This was last December and I didn't get the film developed until last week, but better late then never.

I started with her college apartments:

Then the apartment she moved into after college.  I remember visiting her here, where I would have sleepovers and she would read me the Velveteen Rabbit.

Then the first house we all lived together in, and the prettiest house I ever lived in.  It had a green circular staircase, a fenced backyard where we would jump on the trampoline, a steep driveway where we would take our red wagon, and a bedroom with a balcony and bunny walpaper (loved that room).

Federal Way

Best gal pal Michelle Irwin lives 45 minutes away from me in Federal Way.  Very different from Seattle, not quite as pretty which makes it just a bit more interesting to me as far as photographing goes.  I went to visit her this weekend and we took a walk around the neighborhood, I brought along the Polaroid 600SE. These are the scanned in negatives (I still can't decide if I like the polaroids better, I may end up posting those later as well).  The negatives take some time to dry so some of these got a little messed up since we were out walking around.

Practice Roll

I bought a cheap roll of film at Walgreens and also had it developed there to practice shooting on my new 35mm film camera.  I was also testing out my wide angle lens, and I wanted to make sure the camera worked, and it looks like it does!

House Photos

I can't stop taking pictures of houses, don't know why I have this obsession with them. For my Digital Photography class I shoot houses for almost every assignment. There are just so many interesting houses in these parts. It was a perfect day for shooting, the sky was blue and the clouds were fluffy, so I headed out to Rigby, Idaho and took some shots.

Windows

This is for a "Window" series I've been working on for class. It's a little awkward sitting in front of people's yard with a tripod and waiting for 5-20 second shots. But, nobody ever seems to notice, thank goodness for TV.
